Fogell & Cunningham did not find this species. However, Genoways (2003) reported 2 vouchers (UNSM 9611 and 15429) that were apparently collected inside the park in 1979 and 1986. Corn et al. 1995 mention one turtle trapped from a mill pond on Minnechaduza Creek in the town of Valentine but this location is outside the park boundary.; Data Source: Genoways (2003) Bibkey:592401
