Meade did not find this snake in the park during his inventory, but listed the species as likely to be found, based on collections from adjacent lands. Taylor et al. also did not find the snake during their inventory, but reported a specimen taken near the eastern boundary of the Catoosa Wildlife Management Area by John Byrd.
