Park Species Detail: Witt (1997) reports this species in areas adjacent to the park. One bird was observed at Otter Point in 1994 (Witt 1997).
Russell (1984?) uncommon in late fall and winter, rare in summer; seems to be increasing. 2 shore records as follows: an oiled bird found near Bar Harbor on 7 February 1960 (E. Green) and an oiled bird found dead at Sand Beach on 11 March 1962 (now in the Patterson Collection)., Park Species Data Source: Russell (1984?)
