Occurrence Notes
A casual visitor to the Colorado River above Lees Ferry. Shaun Putz observed two adults and a juvenile near Waterholes Canyon on 12 Sept 2010. On 18 Sept 2010, two adults were photographed near RM -3 (Brian P. Gatlin, Shaun Putz, Gerry Nealon, Charles T. LaRue, Madeline C. Tighe). Casual observers suggest these birds may have been present through the summer. In the future, all cormorants in the region should be carefully identified to species. Data source: Gatlin, BP. 2011.
