Park Species Detail: Hill, 1986: Introduced, but N. American. Flowers yellowish; plant with aroma of pineapple. May-June. Annual or perennial herb. Disturbed sands. Infrequent to rare on Assateague, seen only on bridge causeway and at McCabe house. Infrequent but widespread in MD. Not reported by Higgins. MD only.
