In legacy NPSpecies Cultivation value was Persistent with comment: Apparently, this species was planted at Staple Bend by U.S. Steel for erosion control. My source is my memory of a conversation with Brian Eick at least 10 years ago.; Data Source: Steve Grund, Botanist, Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, 4/6/2008. In legacy NPSpecies Weedy value was Yes with comment: Problematic invasive.
