Notes
Park Species Detail: ATBI Sensitivity = Public, Accepted Detail: ATBI Database
In 2019, the American Ornithologists Union Committee on Classification and Nomenclature published in its 60th supplement to its check-list of North American Birds that Melanitta deglandi should be split from the Eurasian species, M. fusca, and elevated to the level of its own species. GRSM accepts this determination. All prior references to Melanitta fusca related to this park should be considered Melanitta deglandi, still called white-winged scoter.
