Park Species Detail: Witt (1997) reports this species in areas adjacent to the park. The flats at Trenton, the Sand Beach Pool, the Bass Harbor Marsh, and the Bar Harbor Bar are all good spots.
Russell (1984?) Common spring migrant, abundant fall migrant. Good spots include the flats at Trenton, the Sand Beach Pool, and the Bass Harbor Marsh.
Bond (1969) transient and often seen in summer on MDI.
Bond (19??) Common transient, most numerous in late summer and early fall.
Sullivan (1937): Transient, common in August and September, rare in spring.
