Accepted Detail: Flora OP recognizes that Kartesz has synonymized this taxon to A. cottonii, but maintains A. australis var. olympicus citing Isely, 1984, Iowa State J. of Research 59:99-205. We are maintaining the IT IS treatment instead of following FOP in this case because the taxon is listed by both USFWS and WA Natural Heritage Program as A. c.; changing our nomenclature would create confusion between cooperating agencies.
