Notes
Park Species Detail: Synonym = Calamagrostis koelerioides (some material in this Park Unit). Note: Some material from this Park Unit could be interpreted as a separate species, Calamagrostis koelerioides; however, we feel subsumation of such material under Calamagrostis rubescens is probably the better taxonomic accommodation until more material is collected and reviewed. -S. Popovich and M. Curto 3/2005. Habitat in this Park Unit = Generally restricted to foothills in and near the North Unit; may include Huff Creek meadows and Laidlaw Park areas; often in aspen or Douglas-fir stands. Original data for this Park-Name Profile record were derived and entered by Steve J. Popovich, based upon a preponderance of evidence and the best scientific and commercial data available, including all specimen verifications by, and personal knowledge of project, park, and regional experts. Regional floral manuals used included: Intermountain Flora - Vascular Plants of the Intermountain West (1972-2005), A Utah Flora (2003), Flora of the Pacific Northwest (1973), Flora of North America (1993-2006), The Cruciferae of Continental North America (1993), various botanical monographs, Western U.S. floras, and other botanical works such as Weeds of the West (1996), USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service PLANTS database, and Natural Heritage Program, Idaho Conservation Data Center Element Occurrence database., Park Species Data Source: Original data derived by Steve J.
