Park Species Detail: Lea, 2000: Carex oligocarpa Schkuhr ex Willdenow (Few-fruited Sedge)Infrequent. In rich mesophytic forests on alluvial terraces. Found at Bear and High Islands, along Cabin John creek, and at Turkey Run Park. C . Oligocarpa is here reported for the first time for Fairfax County.
