Park Species Detail: Hill, 1986: Native. Perennial or biennial vine, stems annual. July-October. Shrub succession, disturbed sands. Infrequent but widespread throughout Assateague. Frequent on MD coastal plain. (Higgins #241) Distinguished from #385 (ASIS Herbarium number, Strophostles umbellata) by the wavy leaf margins. MD & VA.
