Park Species Detail: Lea, 2000: Carex atlantica Bailey. Ssp. atlantica (Prickly Bog Sedge)Rare. Along seepages and spring run. Single station found. There are two historical collections (same date) from 1899, both possibly from the present station, and a third from 1915 from the edge of a pool on the mainland opposite Plummers Island. Early May to early June. 1599, Morris s.n, Pollard s.n., Standley 11663 (US); 1597 (MARY).
