Notes
(Dendroica graciae) * Grace’s Warbler is a fairly common summer resident of ponderosa pine and mixed conifer forests throughout the region. It can be found virtually anywhere there are ponderosa pines, even in narrow stringers of ponderosa surrounded by pinyon-juniper. It is rarely seen in migration away from its breeding habitat, but a migrant was at Desert View on 21-22 Aug 2009 (Brian P. Gatlin) and two birds were at Phantom Creek from 7-10 May 1929 (Florence Merriam Bailey). Data source: Gatlin, BP. 2011. Annotated Checklist of the Birds of the Grand Canyon Region. 3rd edition.
