Park Species Detail: Some of A. spicata observations are apparently A. nantucketensis, a globally rare species. Dick Wiegand has name of taxanomic specialist who has examined park plants.Wiegand, 2001: Documented in the survey area (from Sandy Hook, Maryland, to District of Columbia line) during 1999-2000 field surveys. (Hamilton, 2007: Listed on page 12 as no occurrences).
