Hossack et al. (2002), Hopkins et al. (1983), and Hansen et al. (1980) all reported this species to be widespread and common throughout the park.

Most commonly encountered amphibian by Hossack et al. (2002). Hopkins et al. (1983) reported that this species was fairly common in the floodplain deciduous woodland.

    Hossack et al. (2002) found evidence of reproduction at 13 of 35 upland wetlands and 6 of 8 in SU as well as 5 of 33 upland wetlands and 3 of 4 river sections in NU. The NGPN had determined that amphibians living within park boundaries are breeding, therefore all Present in park species have a residency of Breeder.
