Very common in open grassland with few standing dead trees or large shrubs and along the edge of cottonwood savanna in Bates Canyon and along Dolomite Point Road (20-25 pairs), but uncommon in similar habitats elsewhere in the park.; Data Source: Patrikeev, M. 2004.
