Notes
Park Species Detail: Witt (1997) reports this species in areas adjacent to the park. Russell (1984?) Rare to uncommon fall through spring; accidental in summer. Most of the records come from Ocean Drive, but the upper parts of Bass Harbor and Southwest Harbor should at least occasionally produce a bird. Favour (1970): immature bird observed on 23 December 1958 at "Bar Harbor"; also observed along Ocean Drive on 28 December 1969. Bond (19??) Apparently rare winter visitor. Checklist information updated 4/8/03 by professional judgement of Bruce Connery, ACAD wildlife biologist.
