Notes
Park Species Detail: The presence of the western long-eared bat at Mount Rushmore was detected using an acoustic survey in August of 2004. No individuals of this species were captured in mist net surveys, conducted during the same time period, however., Park Species Data Source: Dr. Cheryl Schmidt and Ms. Shauna Marquardt conducted the bat survey, as reported in Schmidt et al., (2004).
