Park Species Detail: Hill, 1986: Native. Perennial herb. Aug.-Sept. Fresh marsh, often wooded or with reeds. With old fertile fronds. Infrequent to locally frequent on Assateague, especially in State Park and at Hungerford cabin; Frequent in MD on coastal plain. Collected by Higgins only on VA end, one specimen (Higgins #9).
