Notes
Park Species Detail: Dodge, 2000:Vouchered specimen for this species (See Voucher Profile). Hamilton, 2005: Voucher specimens probable at George Mason University (GMUF), College of William and Mary (WILLI), and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (VPI)./Dodge, 2000: A review of the Rare Vascular Plant List for Virginia (Killeffer 1999) revealed that only one was located during this survey. This was Cuscuta indecora Choisy, found on a marshy inlet in Popes Creek near its junction with the Potomac. The Virginia State status for this plant is "S2?", with the question mark indicating uncertainty as to whether the rank should be S1, S2, or S3. S2 is defined as "Very rare and imperiled with 6 to 20 occurrences or few remaining individuals in Virginia; or because of some factor(s) making it vulnerable to extirpation in Virginia." This plant was the subject of a note (Silberhorn 1998) which stated that it had been found on the Popes Creek islets, so a special effort was made during this survey to seek it., Park Species Data Source: Dodge, 2000
