Notes
Park Species Detail: The S. Popovich specimen collected in summer 2006 on the immediate Lava Lake boundary (Popovich 8387, CRMO acc. no. 223, cat. no. 5089) was reliably collected just within this Park Unit, even if GPS data on collection label suggest very close but not within this Park Unit. -S. Popovich, 25 December 2007. This species was also observed in summer 2006 by S. Popovich very close to but just outside this Park Unit in several BLM-administered boundary areas north of HWY 20/26/93. It is possible, but unknown, that additional plants could occur within this Park Unit in such areas. The N.D. Atwood collection (Atwood 28688, CRMO acc.no. 212, cat. no. 3248) occurs just outside of the CRMO boundary. Because all known sites appear to be on the immediate boundary of this Park Unit, all CRMO references citing this taxon have been included (see references). The Wunner (1967) reference clearly states "Not collected in our area. Occurring in moist locations near Carey [Idaho]." This information probably also applies to the Urban (1968) reference, but it is unknown what is intended in the NPS reference (1992). Habitat in this Park Unit = Generally restricted to foothills in and near the North Unit; may include Huff Creek meadows and Laidlaw Park areas; often associated with riparian zones or mesic sites. Original data for this Park-Name Profile record were derived and entered by Steve J. Popovich, based upon a preponderance of evidence and the best scientific and commercial data available, including all specimen verifications by, and personal knowledge of project, park, and regional experts. Regional floral manuals used included: Intermountain Flora - Vascular Plants of the Intermountain West (1972-2005), A Utah Flora (2003), Flora of the Pacific Northwest (1973), Flora of North America (1993-2006), The Cruciferae of Continental North America (1993), various botanical monographs, Western U.S. floras, and other botanical works such as Weeds of the West (1996), USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service PLANTS database, and Natural Heritage Program, Idaho Conservation Data Center Element Occurrence database., Park Species Data Source: Original data derived by Steve J.
