Notes
Park Species Detail: Wiegand, 2001b: occurs in scoured habitats slightly elevated above the lowest areas along the river, and in low scour prairie and overwash savanna habitats. Yellow sneezeweed (Helenium autumnale) was seen at a single location during this survey. Although this species occurs with some frequency at scattered sites along the Potomac River, nowhere was it noted to be particularly abundant. Found at 1 site. A watch list (and otherwise uncommon) plant species known to occur within the District of Columbia portion of LOCO (along the C&O Canal NHP and Potomac River from the Maryland line to Key Bridge, Washington, D.C.), Park Species Data Source: Maxon, 1935;Wiegand, 2001;Wiegand, 2001b;
