Notes
Park Species Detail: Hill, 1986: Native. Annual, but forms perennial structures that overwinter in mud. Rarely flowers, but apparently this occurs July-Aug. Ponds, fresh to slightly brackish. Infrequent overall on Assateague, but can occur in very large populations that float on fresh water pond surfaces, generally not salt tolerant. Frequent in MD overall. (Higgins #110). MD & VA.
