Notes
Park Species Detail: Checklist information (abundance) updated 4/9/03 by professional judgement of Bruce Connery, ACAD wildlife biologist.
Coman (1987) exceedingly rare on MDI in the past, however, more individuals have been reported recently on MDI. Found on Indian Point Road in late July 1986; also 2 other reports observed on the road past the sphagnum bog near Sea Wall (no dates given); doubt they are as rare as might be judged from the scarcity of records.
Coman (1981): exceedingly rare on MDI; only report is from Hamilton Station on 30 April 1958 (C. Terman).
Davis (1960) fount at Hamilton Station, Jackson Laboratory in a pool of water after a rain in the NE corner of experimental field on 30 April 1958 (C. Terman)., Park Species Data Source: Coman (1987)
