Notes
Park Species Detail: Wiegand, 2001b: occurs in scoured habitats slightly elevated above the lowest areas along the river, and in low scour prairie and overwash savanna habitats. Mist flower (Eupatorium coelestinum) was seen at scattered locations within this survey site. Although not particularly abundant, it is well dispersed and occurs inseveral habitats here. Mistflower (Eupatorium coelestinum) was seen at several locations within this survey site (Fletchers Floodplain). Although not particularly abundant, it is well dispersed and occurs in overwash savanna, woodland and forested habitats here. It occurs much more frequently in appropriate habitat further upriver. Found at 3 sites. A watch list (and otherwise uncommon) plant species known to occur within the District of Columbia portion of LOCO (along the C&O Canal NHP and Potomac River from the Maryland line to Key Bridge, Washington, D.C.), Park Species Data Source: Maxon, 1935;Wiegand, 2001;Wiegand, 2001b;
