A common winter resident along the Colorado River. It is an uncommon to fairly common winter resident in brushy, scrubby, and grassy habitats throughout the region, where some winter as high as the South Rim during some years. White-crowned Sparrow is a common spring and fall migrant throughout the entire region, with spring migrants occurring mostly in April and May and fall migrants in September and October.
