Occurrence Notes
A fairly common permanent resident of pinyon-juniper woodlands and interior chaparral. It is an uncommon spring and fall wanderer elsewhere throughout the region, and a common winter resident along the Colorado River. Wintering birds along the river irregularly linger into summer and occasionally remain to breed in mainstem riparian habitat. Data source: Gatlin, BP. 2011.
