Occurrence Notes
A common permanent resident of ponderosa pine forests. It occurs irregularly throughout the year in pinyon-juniper woodlands where it rarely breeds, with most records clustering around spring and fall movements from 13 Apr to 9 May and from 8 Aug to 28 Sept. There is only one record from along the Colorado River: one was near the mouth of Bright Angel Creek in August 1935 (W.T. McKean). Data source: Gatlin, BP. 2011.
