Occurrence Notes
This species is found in the Lake Mead-Virgin River region just west of GRCA. Leopard frogs discovered recently in Surprise Canyon in western GRCA were initially thought, based on geographic proximity, to be this species, but genetic analysis suggests these frogs are Lowland Leopard Frogs (Lisa Gelczis, USGS Colorado Plateau Research Station, personal communication). Isolated populations of Relict Leopard Frogs may occur in extreme western GRCA.; Data Source: Persons and Nowak 2005
