Occurrence Notes
A common summer resident of mixed conifer forests on the Kaibab Plateau. It is a common spring and fall migrant throughout the region. Spring migrants occur from 18 Mar to 18 May, and fall migrants are seen from 8 Aug through about 27 Oct, with a peak in late September and early October. Ruby-crowned Kinglet is a common winter resident along the Colorado River and in other low-elevation riparian habitats. It is an uncommon winter resident in pinyon-juniper woodlands throughout the region. Conditions may vary among subspecies. Data source: Gatlin, BP. 2011.
