This species has a remarkable distribution in the American South, since it is found commonly in the California Deserts below sea-level, and Grand Canyon’s North Rim well above 8400’! This is our smallest representative from the Pieridae family. Known larval host include Sneezeweed, Helenium sp., Fileree, Erodium sp., and Desert Marigold, Baileya sp.
