From Hannawacker, Robb 2015 Report on Grand Canyon Butterflies, Grand Canyon National Park: Since Abaeis nicippe feed on Senna plant species, adults are usually more common in the Inner Canyon or the Mojave Desert Western Canyon area. However, we see them on the South Rim on occasion, throughout spring, summer, and fall.
