Notes
The range of this species is not yet well known. In eastern North America it has been found from southern Ontario south to northern Florida, but in the Midwest it has not been found south of Indiana and central Illinois. This seeming range restriction is probably due to its nature and habitat. This small, dark species is restricted to tree trunks, and so, it is never taken in beating. Collection requires careful search of the trunks. It was rare in the ATBI survey (four specimens).
