Notes
This species is found in southern Quebec and throughout the eastern United States except for the prairie region of central Illinois. It inhabits trunks and branches of broad-leaf trees, rarely conifers, where the nymphs and teneral adults assemble in large herds. Only four individuals were taken in the ATBI survey. This is probably not representative of its true status in the Park.
