Notes
This species had long been known from the Pacific coast of the United States and Canada. It began appearing in the eastern United States about 25 years ago and remains known there from only a few localities. It is part of a complex including the following species, and both were probably introduced from the Australian Region, where the complex is better represented. It occurs on living and dead foliage of numerous kinds of trees and shrubs, both angiosperms and gymnosperms, and is found occasionally in forest ground litter. It was frequent in the ATBI survey.
