Abundance Notes
The primary range of this species, as its name implies, is the western half of North America from Alaska to California and east to Texas and Saskatchewan. However, two male specimens have been taken in the eastern United States: one from northern Virginia, the other one here recorded from the Park in North Carolina. In the west, at least, adults seem to be active year round, with several generations per year. (Oliver Flint, 1/25/10)
