Notes
Species Notes: identified using Felt 1940, 2001
The species is generally referred to as H. stigma Stephens, the close Palearctic relative. However, I have seen some small differences in the genitalia between Old and New World examples, and thus prefer to use the name based on North American material. Adults are found year round, apparently hibernating both as adults and prepupae. (Oliver Flint, 1/25/10)
