Abundance Notes
Common at lower elevations. This species occurs in various forest conditions nesting in soil or rotten logs. MacGown and Hill found dealate queens in open hardwood forest at Cades Cove in TN and litter in bottomland hardwood forest near the Oconoluftee Visitor Center in N.C.
