Notes
This is a species of the southeastern United States, ranging north into southern Illinois and Baltimore, Maryland. Thus, it is near the northern end of its range in GSMNP. It inhabits dead hanging leaves in forests. It was rare in the ATBI survey (one individual). Five specimens were taken by the author subsequent to the survey.
