Park Species Detail: This species was found in 2 of the 16 vegetation classes identifed at Fort Laramie. It is uncommon on upland sites where the plant community is weedy, and rare in the disturbed grassland community dominated by sand dropseed. Bonnie identified this species as Iva axillaris var. axillaris (see ITIS) in her 2004 FOLA plant inventory report (i.e., Heidel, 2004)., Park Species Data Source: Collected by Bonnie Heidel (BH 2507) during a floristic inventory conducted in 2003 (Heidel, 2004).
