Park Species Detail: Note: there were 2 ARCH ANCS+ vouchers (Cat.#'s 893 & 907) listed under the name T. eques, which were disposed of due to decomposition. The notes accompanying the vouchers read: "Transferred to interpretation 21 Feb 1984. Pattern of three stripes very distinct; dorsal stripe usually orange yellow, confined to median scale row except on neck, lateral stripes on 2nd & 3rd scale rows. Ground color between strips normally brown, keels often reddish. Pair of cresentic white markings behind angle of mouth, followed by pair of black bloches behind head which often unite; labials boldly margined with black; preoculars white. Belly greyish-white to greenish-yel. Identified by Olsen, Mel. Common name reported as white bellied garter snake.", Park Species Data Source: Platenberg and Graham, 2003 Bibkey #548504
