Park Species Detail: El.Site Db Code: USNPSER*17664. TNC Code: AAABC02050. ATBI Sensitivity = Public, Park Species Data Source: Great Smoky Mountains Natural History Association 1993-98 Species Notes: Not distinguished from look-alike species H. VERSICOLOR in most published literature; distinguished by chromosomes, erythrocyte size (Matson 1990), and call characteristics. Natural hybridization between H. VERSICOLOR and H. CHRYSOSCELIS has been confirme -- Occurrence recorded in database by User 163 on 10/30/2003 STATUS: Native, Breeder, Present in Park;; ; Taxonomy Notes: valid 5/12/2025- Dryophytes chrysoscelis became the accepted taxonomy for all North American true treefrogs (Crother et al. 2017). This edit swapped Hyla chrysoscelis to D. chrysoscelis.
