Abundance Notes
Dorn et al. 1984 (Bibkey # 57170) report this species from 5 vegetation types that cover 67% of the monument. Jones 1993 (Bibkey # 132800) also reports A. alnifolia as common (with up to 30-40% cover) in the mixed timber and mountains shrub vegetation types. Examination of serviceberries in the field by Kyte and Fertig in 2004 suggest that A. alnifolia is actually less abundant than A. utahensis. It is possible that reports by Dorn et al. and Jones may have failed fo differentiate between these two taxa.; Data Source: Kyte and Fertig 2004 observation
