Legacy NPSpecies information may no longer be applicable, please remove if it is not applicable. In legacy NPSpecies Weedy value was Yes with comment: I Rank=High/medium; Creeping buttercup, is an herbaceous species that has invaded most states in the United States, but is currently only a great problem in the west. It seems to most readily invade areas that are disturbed, including native species habitats that receive natural disturbance. It doesn't appear that this species is a great threat to biodiversity in the east at this time. (NatureServe 2007).
