  • Breeder
Also winter resident and spring and predominately fall migrant. Confirmed breeder in the NYBBA online species lists for blocks: 2003 5848A; 2003 5849B; 1985 and 2003 5849D; 1985 5949A. Probable breeder for 2003 5949A. These blocks have high probability that breeding confirmations occur within park boundaries. Confirmed breeding also for blocks: 2003 5848B; 1985 and 2003 5949B; 1985 5949C; 2003 5949D. Probable breeder for 5949D These blocks also encompass suitable habitat that is outside of the park boundaries. Please note that block 5949C is usually included in the blocks that are more likely to have breeders within the park. However, the block does have a strip of Atlantic beachfront that is outside the park. So for this specific species, the block was included with the list that has suitable breeding habitat outside of park limits. Confirmed breeder in 1997 in Zuzworsky's Jamaica Bay I&M reference.; Data Source: NYBBA web site (2004) - historic species lists as of 1985 and current species lists as of 2003 for blocks 5848A, 5848B, 5849B, 5849D, 5949A, 5949B, 5949C, 5949D and 5950C.
