Tulane University voucher specimens by Bretting #179 and 161 for Chalmette Unit were misidentified (as Rumex verticillatus) and redetermined to be Rumex crispus by C. Slaughter (1992) and D.M. Ferguson (2008). Tulane University voucher specimens by Dowling #367 (2 sheets) and Darwing #2250 were identified correctly and verified by C. Slaughter (1993) and D.M.
