Park Species Detail: Note: at one time, there was an ARCH ANCS+ voucher collected under the name Urosaurus ornatus wrighti (Coll. #903) which was thrown out due to decomposition. The original notes accompanying the voucher read, "Transferred to interpretation 21 Feb 1984. Ground color pale gray to yellow brown. About 6 to 8 light-edged, darker crossbands on the back,twice as broad as interpaves, frequently interupted medially & two halves sometimes staggered; medians distinctly on the forelegs than aon the hind legs. Tail has dark bands separated by narrow light spaces; bands are sometimes visible on the ventral surface. Usually narrow dark streak across top of head at middle of orbits, intricate pattern.
