An uncommon or possibly even fairly common but inconspicuous and patchily distributed permanent resident of a variety of Upper Sonoran Zone habitats with dense shrubby components, including open pinyon-juniper woodland, grassland, Great Basin desertscrub, and interior chaparral. Most records are from the Arizona Strip and the Coconino Plateau, but it is also found in House Rock Valley and along the Colorado River. Data source: Gatlin, BP. 2011.
