Notes
Park Species Detail: The general data source documents this species as: "a road kill was noted 25 August 1969 near the town of Orick along Redwood Creek." It is ambiguous whether or not this animal was inside the park. The data source also documents a sighting "6 miles south east of the Highway 101-Klamath River Bridge," which is near but outside the park., Park Species Data Source: Yocum, C.F. and T. Eley. 1972. Extension of golden-mantled ground squirrel range west to the pacific coastal area of Humboldt and Del Norte Counties. The Murrelet. 53:29-30.
